Default British treats you can't get here:

Hi guys!!
My husband is back over in the UK at the moment and coming back in a fortnight. I'm living in Calgary and have been talking to my Canadian colleagues about treats/sweets we enjoy back in the UK.- it started due to a discussion about North American Cadbury's tasting disgusting!
I thought it would be fun for my husband to bring some treats back for everyone to have. I know there's British shops dotted around but can you think of anything that you really can't get in Alberta?!

Thanks guys!! :-)

I was thinking things that maybe aren't as cost affective to import like Freddos and Chomps or Curly Wurleys. What do you think?! Reckon British shops here will have those? I want something a bit different but still yummy. (Though most things are yummy compared to "Cadbury's" here) haha

Then I got excited about minstrels and mini eggs so my own personal list of chocolate to bring back has grown too. Haha

my son's Canadian girlfriend goes ape over 'quavers'. When I was over in the UK last year I brought her back 10 bags. So lightweight, no issue

Just mentioned this thread to my wife

She claims that 'chocolate covered Brazil nuts' are not available in Canada

So, again last trip over I brought her back a couple of boxes

Are they not? Could have sworn I've seen them somewhere :-/ - they're not something I eat so haven't looked though.

You see chocolate covered almonds, peanuts everywhere, yet she hasn't found the 'chocolate covered Brazil nuts'

Maybe a poster can come up with where they're sold in Canada?

I saw them at shoppers....just before Christmas and at an eye watering price.

Can't go far wrong with a nice box of M&S chocolate covered biscuits where work colleagues are concerned (I speak from experience!)
